The HydraFacial has now become High Tech and, I am truly amazed each time at the instant results of the " Hydra Facial"  and how it can act as a catalyst to help someone achieve a more beautiful healthy glowing complexion.  It clearly does it all in 60 minutes or less.Within the 60 minute treatment, we start with a complete lymphatic drainage therapy of the facial lymph nodes:  This eliminates the toxins and promotes insured nourishment. The skin achieves balance which results in a cleaner complexion and improved skin tone and color.  Also it helps in reduction in wrinkles due to dehydration, reduces puffy skin and helps with acne prone complexions.Next, we apply treatment solutions in up to five separate applications with the use of various  "vortex-fusion" tips.  This in itself is what makes the treatment unique, pain-free and requires no down time.The tips allow for a simultaneous "vortex-fusion" of skin specific solutions during the treatment process.  The solutions are brought out of the tip through occlusion.  The grooves in the tips from the spiral design allow for multiple passes over the skin resulting in a more even exfoliation; and using vacuum based technology, is able to lift away impurities and dead cells.

The treatment solutions include the following:A.  Cleaning and exfoliation.....cleanses deeply with a base of glucosamine, lactic and urea.B.  Resurfacing step.......applies a peel prep of glycolic/salicylic acid blendC.  Pain free extractions are performed through suction method backed by a salicylic/honey prepD. The "Dermabuilder" (optional) is applied for fine lines and wrinkles.  This topical filler is loaded with peptides which will smooth lines and wrinkles and enhance skin elasticity.E. The whole procedure ends with LED light therapy in a red or blue light. The red light helps the appearance of redness or irritation and signs of aging.  There are 24 LED lights in the hand piece. 12 of 624 nanometers and 12 of 880 nanometers.  The blue light improves the appearance of oily or congested skin with 20 LED lights at 420 nanometers.

Why Winter Hydration is Important

Feel that chill in the air? Winter is well on its way. And while many of us look forward to sweater weather with relish, you wouldn’t know it by looking at our skin. Between the icy outdoor air and the desiccating indoor heat, it’s no surprise that the biggest beauty gripe of the season is dry skin. However, what most see as a minor inconvenience could hold serious consequences for your complexion years down the road. In the fight against premature aging, winter hydration is just as important as summer sun protection.

We have all heard the seemingly endless list of old wives’ tales: do not cross your eyes or they will stay that way; if you crack your knuckles you will get arthritis. And when it comes to skin care, a surprising amount of fables still abound. With an ever-increasing desire to improve the health and appearance of your skin, it’s time to set the record straight.

In order to separate fact from fiction, we have compiled some of the most pervasive falsehoods and a few enlightening truths regarding the largest organ in the body. Whether you are 15 or 50, it is important to know the realities of skin care in order to maintain a happy, healthy lifestyle. So read on, and help dispel these skin myths!

Myth No.1

Cucumbers contain special ingredients to treat puffy eyes and under eye bags.

This age-old home remedy is tried, but not true. Cucumber slices may feel refreshing, but these greens do not contain special ingredients to reduce under eye bags and puffiness. Although the high water content found in cucumbers can sometimes decrease swelling, coconut extract and organic liquid crystals are far more effective at replenishing natural reserves and nourishing the skin around the eye area. Myth No. 3

Sunscreen is not required during the winter.

Despite popular belief, overcast skies do not exempt you from wearing sunscreen. Approximately 30 to 40 percent of UV rays will penetrate through clouds, leaving your skin vulnerable to the damaging effects of sun exposure, including sunburn, unsightly wrinkles and skin cancer. Snowboarders and skiers heed this warning: snow can reflect up to 85 percent of the UV radiation that reaches it, which means that you may still be exposed when you are in the shade. Winter is a time to take extra precaution, not neglect your skin.

The best way to deal with oily skin is to dry it out.
